Subhash Ghai Delivers 24th Film as Silver Jubilee Hit; ’36 Farmhouse’ continues to break OTT records

Subhash Ghai’s films are known to complete a minimum of 25 weeks in theaters, calling him the king of the “Silver Jubilee”. His OTT debut as a producer is also breaking records. The movie stalwart’s first release on OTT as a producer “36 Farmhouse” garnered massive viewership, successfully running for 25 weeks.

This is the legendary filmmaker’s 24th film as a producer and 12th film as a director. The film is presented as a family entertainer and leaves you with an exciting feeling. It is also said that the satellite release of Subhash Ghai’s “36 Farmhouse” has been pushed back due to its huge success on the OTT platform.

Touching another milestone, the ace filmmaker adds, “Celebrating the Silver Jubilee is a jubilant expression of feature film success for any filmmaker, regardless of platform. I want to share my happiness with my entire team at Mukta Arts, the brilliant artists of ’36 farm’, our partners Zee5, Zee Studios and everyone involved There are 3 reasons behind this celebration, firstly it’s my first release on OTT to make a movie and not a web series. Secondly, the subject which I took was complex, we shot the whole movie with a story organized between two families and a house. Thirdly, every artist, every team, every member of Zee5 and Zee Studios worked hard on this one. I want to celebrate this milestone with everyone and for everyone.”

On his consistency in surpassing himself, he further said, “Girte hain shah sawar hi maidan-e-jung me, Haar k baad hi jeet hoti hai.” Sometimes you go through a stage where people think Subhash ji is outdated now, how is he going to make a movie, why is he going to make a movie, and such questions come up but in this movie, I’m a writer, I’m a screenwriter, I became a music composer, I wrote the lyrics. I watched everything. It was an exciting experience.”

Asked about his most memorable experience in the film, he said: “For ’36 Farmhouse, I wrote lyrics and composed music. I’m good at directing, but acting as a lyricist and music composer was an experience. surely new to When I attended a live music show on TV I was so thrilled to see all these newcomer kids singing

“Mausam bhi aisa, Har Manzar bhi aisa hai”, from the movie. I felt ecstatic.” Subhash Ghai then reiterated his experience of working on an OTT for the first time: “I come from a place where we have to showcase anything larger than life on a 70mm screen with 6 tracks, but OTT doesn’t work that way. You are more accountable to the public. There is more authenticity on OTT platforms, people are sensitive to a “real” perspective here. It was definitely a new experience for me. I’m absolutely thrilled and thrilled that the public accepted it openly.”

The film continues to garner rave reviews due to its critically acclaimed star cast featuring Sanjay Mishra, Vijay Raaz, Ashwini Kalsekar, Amol Parashar as well as social media influencer Barkha Singh.
